LAKSHMI VILAS PALACE, BARODA

The Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, was constructed by the Gaekwad family, a prominent Maratha family, who ruled the Baroda State. Major Charles Mant was credited to be the main architect of the palace. Laxmi Vilas Palace was styled on the Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture, built by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III in 1890 at a cost of £180,000 (₹27,00,000)

TIMINGS TO VISIT?

A part of the palace is open for visitors during the day 10 am to 5 pm. Mondays is the weekly off day. Weekends can be Crowded.

The ticket cost Rs. 200 And it includes a complimentary audio tour guide in either english , hindi & marathi.
